Sisters

My sister has finally moved!! She is living about an hour and a half away, which is the closest I have had family since I was about 18 years old. We have seen them a lot lately, including babysitting Kalli all weekend. It was fun, she is a big help with the kids, when I can drag her off the computer.
Chase is in love with my sister and after our most recent visit he came home and started saying, "Na Na more more". She lets him do anything and everything so he is smitten with her. During our visit I said to Chase, "Come on let's eat lunch" and started walking him towards the chair when he darted away from me over to my sister screaming, "Na, Na!" as if to say "please don't make me go with her" Every parent loves that feeling- I have nurtured you every second of every day for the past 2 years, I have wiped poop off your butt everyday (actually several times a day), gotten up to feed you at all hours of the night (to the point I can barely speak in sentences the next day), spent more money than I care to disclose so you can have all the luxuries a little boy could want and you would trade me in for a trip outside to play with the hose. Nice!
Anyway, I am glad Chase is getting the opportunity to have a close relationship with Lynee, Kalli and Luke and in reality I am thankful he loves them so I can get a much needed break from the craziness of motherhood (without the guilt and worry).

Chase Turns Two

Our little baby boy turns two this weekend-it is hard to believe. We had a small party last weekend, while my parents were in town, it was really fun. Chase seemed to enjoy getting so much attention. He had the funniest look of amazement when everyone was singing happy birthday to him. In preparation for the party I put together a 30 minute video montage of our favorite videos of him growing up (I could sit and watch those all day long). It was truly amazing seeing just how much he has changed and learned in these past two years.
He is such a curious little boy, he wants to figure out how everything works. He is always on move- into everything. He loves mimicking adult behavior like talking on the phone, using his toy tools to fix everything in our house, and driving to name just a few. He is such a loving little guy, too. He will randomly just run up to me and say, "Hugs" and wrap his little arms around my neck. We are so blessed to have such an amazing little boy as our son!!!

New Tricks

Olivia has now learned to roll over (back to front). She is very strong and will just lay on the floor and roll over again and again. It is kind of sad though because when she rolls over her arms get stuck underneath her and then she can't hold her head up so she starts complaining but the minute I roll her back she just flips right back over and we play this game until I finally just put her in the bouncer or bumbo seat. She is the sweetest little thing- always smiling and laughing. We have our 4 month/2 year check up next week- I am always interested in how they are growing.

Chase is doing great. He is talking so much now. He comes out with the funniest things too. Right now his favorite thing is to change the batteries in his toys. So he knows that when his toys are broken most of the time they just need new batteries. Well the other night I was getting them into their pj's and I said something about being hot, why isn't the air conditioner on and Chase ran over to the air conditioner closet opened it and then looked back at me and said "don't know" then he came over to my face and said "batteries?" Everything just needs batteries!
