Gasparilla

Tampa has this festival called Gasparilla. It is a month long celebration (of sorts) with tons of activities including a children's parade that we attended this year. We went and watched the parade which mostly centered on the tossing and catching of beads (not so exciting for a 2 and 1 year old but surprisingly entertaining to the grown men all around us). Ryan's Uncle Scott happened to be in town that weekend and was a huge help with the kids at the parade.
We got a ton of beads that the kids loved and played with the rest of the weekend. I plan on breaking them out again on the next rainy day :)

Jack Jack

My close friend Colleen and her baby boy Jack came down this weekend for a visit. Jack is just a few months younger than Olivia. We had so much fun! We went to the zoo and visited all of our local parks. They were eager to soak up some sunshine, NY can be a bit dreary this time of year. The kids loved having Jack around and they all played so nice together. We even threw them all into the bath tub at night.

Colleen and Jack fell victim to my new photography obsession- here are of few of my favorites.

Isn't he so cute!
We miss you guys already!

Morning Snuggles

Watching the two of them love on each other is one of the best parts of motherhood right now. I just love watching them play together, pretend together, and the rare snuggle together. In the morning, we usually come downstairs and I turn on a cartoon for them to watch as I make breakfast. These mornings they just happened to be a snuggly mood and when left on the couch found each other to snuggle up to- how sweet!
I don't want to give you the wrong impression, it isn't always like this. We have plenty of hitting and pushing and crying because Chase has something Olivia wants or Olivia took something that Chase wants and most of our "time-outs" are given because of sharing issues. But there are sweet moments mixed in and they really do love and care about each other.
