Easter Bunnies

Here are my little cuties! I took them for a photo shoot last week. Although it was torture the pictures turned out well and it was worth it. I heard the worker at the studio describing the how the studio works to someone on the phone and here was his description:
" You come in and we snap about 20 photos of your child, you wait about 5-10 minutes, and then order the ones you like we print them up for you while you check out. Quick and painless."
I could have busted out laughing.
Here is my description:
"You call and make book the first appointment of the day (thinking that will be the quickest spot) but when you arrive the workers need 10 minutes to start their computers before they can sign you in, then they need 10 more minutes to set-up, so you are already beginning to sweat as your children begin running laps around the studio attempting to pull over huge lighting umbrellas. When they are finally ready, they try and tell your young children awkward positions so you get down and have to position them yourself only to have them wiggle away before any photos are actually snapped of them in that desired pose. They spend the next 30 minutes desperately trying to get one photo where everyone is smiling and you spend that time saying, No don't push your sister, Don't crinkle your nose, Please don't flash your panties, Face the camera. Until you finally say, I hope you got something because I think they are all done. You come back 30 minutes later and then wait another 20 minutes to see the images and another 20 minutes before you get the prints." Painless- Hardly!

Newzamm

While on vacation we were able to visit two different children's museums (which Chase calls newzamms, sounds like a new Emril product). Both were amazing and we spent hours venturing through the exhibits. Chase's favorites were the grocery store, fully equipped cash register and the gas pump/ air pressure pump. He could have spent all day in those exhibits.
Olivia loved the Curious George section and all of the climbing places.

We MISSED You!

A big part of our trip up north was visiting family. We spent some time with Ryan's grandmother, Memom. Chase has always been quite fond of her but it was nice they could spend some time at her house. They were both a little timid at first as they had just woken from an overdue nap, but as toddlers go it didn't take long for them to warm up and grow very interested in the new surroundings (and all of the antiques within their reach.) Thankfully nothing got broken and we were able to enjoy a lovely visit and dinner with Memom!
My aunt made her way up to my mom's house to see the kids. And had even made a special book for Chase. Several weeks ago Chase got on the phone with my Aunt during one of my mom's conversations with her and mentioned that he likes "stinky and yucky stuff". Something we hear often like when someone says what are you having for dinner? Chase will reply "stinky and yucky stuff" Thanks Chase :) And his favorite animal has been a skunk for some time now, which is how this stinky thing started. Anyway, my aunt made him a beautifully painted book of all kinds of stinky things and each picture includes stinky strips of felt soaked in a stinky smell. It is so cute.
And finally, we met our new niece Lillian! She is so cute and the kids were so excited to meet her! Apparently she didn't like my eye glasses and cried every time she looked at me the first visit but I put my contacts in for visit #2 and she smiled at me several times. She is beautiful and we are so happy that we were able to visit with her and my bother and sister-in-law.
We are so thankful we could get some special family time in before our new arrival this summer, when life and travel will be even more chaotic (if that is possible).
