The Circus Came to Town

We celebrated Chase's 5th birthday this weekend with a circus themed party at a nearby park. We had game booths, photo booth, bounce house and clowns to keep everyone entertained. Chase wanted to run the ticket booth, giving out game tickets and prize bags to the guests as they arrived, it was really funny. But even after the guests arrived I had to drag him away from the ticket booth, he probably would have "worked" the whole time. The clowns were great! They ran some games, painted faces, and did balloon twisting. Olivia asked for a Cinderella balloon and it was amazing. Chase had his face painted with a picture of his mommy- seriously so sweet! We had some traditional carnival food- popcorn, cotton candy, caramel apple slices, corn dogs, lemonade, and roasted cashews. We had so much fun! When we got home Olivia said, "Mommy, I don't want a princess party anymore. I want my own circus party!"

Closing in On the Big ONE

William is a wild man these days. He is all about standing on his own two feet and putting everything into his mouth, very high maintenance. The good thing about this phase is that he is easily entertained because everything is new to him. Ryan took him outside the other day to explore our trees, which he really enjoyed. He definitely has his own opinion and will yell until he gets what he wants. Every time I get my credit card out to pay at a store he yells and grabs for the card until he can have it and then he slides it on the credit card machine, it is annoying and funny at the same time.
He still only has two teeth- go figure. I see the upper teeth bulging in his gums but nothing has come out yet.

Clowning Around

Chase has chosen a circus party theme to celebrate his 5th birthday. We are so excited!
